These regulations replace the Data Protection Act 1998 and come into force 25 May 2018

As a Membership Society and Club, we hold personal data. We have a legal responsibility to treat the data with respect and to hold the data securely.

Personal data must be:

• Fairly and lawfully processed
• Processed for limited purposes
• Adequate and relevant and limited to what is necessary
• Adequate and where necessary up to date
• Not kept in a way that people can be identified from it for longer than is necessary
• Processed in a way that ensures appropriate security

The data we hold for Members of Teifi Trout Association is:

• Name
• Address
• Email
• Telephone Number/s
• Car Registration Number
• Age (Optional)

This is stored in computerised records on the club computer, which is not connected to the Internet. All hard copies are kept securely.

We require this information to know who our members are and is used for mailing and communication purposes only. It is not available to anyone outside the Society and is held by the Membership Secretary.

Our website contains links to third party websites, if you follow a link to any of these websites, then please be aware that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any liability or responsibility for the policies operated by these websites.  Please check their privacy polices before you submit personal information to any third-party website.

We use Google Analytics to monitor traffic and trends to/on our website, this service does not collect any personally identifiable information.

We use some cookies that we think are necessary to provide the best experience to our visitors and full details are available in the cookie policy contained on the website.

We do not use tracking cookies or gather information about people via our website.

Email addresses are shared with the Chairman/Secretary for Newsletter and Membership renewals only.

We will keep the data from the date of joining until the end of the membership. personal data will be deleted for lapsed memberships. If you object to your details being held on the computer, please contact the Membership Secretary in writing.
